INDEPENDENT. SMALL. PRACTICAL.

Less guesswork.
More perspective.

Screen Size Lab is a focused collection of physical screen calculators and explanatory notes for people planning their next display setup.

Start with the part you can measure.

A diagonal can make two very different rectangles sound similar. A resolution can hide the size of the surface it occupies. A panel width can leave out the housing around it. Our tools keep those measurements separate and show how they connect.

The first edition includes active-screen dimensions and density, a proportional comparison and a straight-row desk-width planner. They are geometry tools, not a monitor rating system.

Visible assumptions are useful assumptions.

Each tool explains its formula and scope. Physical aspect and pixel resolution are checked for consistency. Desk plans distinguish real outer widths from active-width estimates. Results never imply that a particular monitor, stand or arm will fit or support a load.

A small, independent project.

Our guides are original worked examples and explanations. They are not hands-on product reviews, and we do not invent test results, professional credentials or user counts. This release contains no advertising, paid placements or affiliate links. If that changes, the relevant disclosures will change before activation.
